Eviction Court Watch
CALEB's Eviction Court Watch campaign is an effort to coordinate volunteers to attend and compile information on eviction hearings during the Hamilton County General Sessions Civil Court Docket. The effects on housing that the COVID-19 pandemic has already inflicted could develop into a significant threat to community stability in Hamilton County. CALEB shares compiled information with the Eviction Prevention Program as they help to provide legal representation and rental assistance to those who need it.

Sessions Civil (Eviction) Docket Schedule:
Note: A court moratorium is in effect through March 2021. We plan to re-institute court watch when courts reopen.
|
Additional Details: Court Watch volunteer shifts are roughly one hour. You may sign up for multiple shifts. Please arrive at the courthouse at least 10 minutes before the docket begins. These cases are primarily heard in General Sessions Civil Courtroom 6, on the second floor of the courthouse building. Some cases may also be heard in Courtroom 5 of the same floor. Refer to Court Details to find rules for attendance, acceptable court attire, and location. Due to the threat of COVID-19, we want to maintain a limit of one court watcher per courtroom. If you would like to help, but face higher risks from infection, there may be other ways you can support. Reach out to us at [email protected].
