THE PEOPLE'S GALLERY
Our City. Our Resistance. Our History
October 2–30, 2026 · Stove Works · Chattanooga, TN
The People’s Gallery is a month-long exhibition exploring Chattanooga’s grassroots histories of labor, civil rights, racial justice, white supremacy, resistance, and community power.
We've invited local artists and creatives to help us uncover, question and carry forward the stories that have been overlooked, erased, misunderstood or left unfinished.

HISTORY IS NEVER FINISHED.
The People’s Gallery builds on The People’s History Tour — a foundation for understanding the people who organized, resisted, cared for one another and changed the course of our city.
This exhibit weaves together histories of struggle & triumph, belonging & alienation, isolation & community, growth and decay—transforming these stories into original visual artwork.
No single tour, exhibition or telling can capture the full story of the People's History of Chattanooga, but we invite you to participate in the conversation.
